Job Summary :
The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, planning, and implementation of occupational therapy services for patients to facilitate the rehabilitation of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and neurological impairments;
to restore function, and to prevent disability following disease, injury or congenital abnormalities. The person in this position shall provide supervision to occupational therapy assistants, aides, interns and students.
Minimum Requirements :
Licensure : Registration by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
California advanced practice license in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation or Intervention preferred. California advanced practice license in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation or Intervention preferred. Current BLS
Experience : 6-12 months experience preferred

Experience : 6-12 months experience preferred. Experience or internship in rehabilitation, pediatrics, and / or acute hospital setting also preferred.
Skills and Abilities : Strong interpersonal skills, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills. Concise and effective communication Physical Requirements : Good physical condition including ability to lift, transfer, and move heavy / awkward patients and equipment.
Moderate walking and sitting.

This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and / or instruction. The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft.
