Virtual School Psychologist
Location : Ohio (Remote)
Job Type : Full-Time - Work From Home
Pay : $48 / Hour
Key Responsibilities :
Assessment and Evaluation :
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional development.
- Interpret assessment results to develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide diagnostic information and recommend interventions for students with learning and behavioral challenges.
Intervention and Counseling :
- Offer individual and group counseling sessions to students experiencing emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies to address students' needs.
- Monitor and adjust interventions based on students' progress and changing needs.
Consultation and Collaboration :
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective support plans for students.
- Provide consultation to school staff on psychological and educational issues affecting students.
- Participate in virtual meetings, such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and other student support meetings.
Crisis Intervention :
- Respond to and provide support during crisis situations, including risk assessments and crisis intervention plans.
- Offer guidance and resources to school staff and families during crises.
Training and Professional Development :
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for educators, parents, and other stakeholders on topics related to child development, mental health, and effective intervention strategies.
- Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology and apply this knowledge to the virtual school setting.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
Certification :
- Valid Ohio School Psychologist license.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred.
Experience :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school psychologist, with experience in a virtual or online educational setting preferred.
- Proficiency in conducting virtual assessments and using digital tools for remote counseling and intervention.
