Nights, 6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM, Sunday–Saturday, 3 shifts per week

Floating : Not required

Max RTO : 36 hours / week

Requirements :

Active RN licensure (TX)

BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC)

NRP required

Minimum 2 years’ Labor & Delivery experience

Scope of Role :

Provides care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum (required), and Nursery (preferred) units. Responsibilities include :

Labor patient care : 1 : 1–2 ratio

Postpartum : 1 : 6 ratio

Nursery : 1 : 6 ratio

Mother–Baby couplets : 1 : 3 ratio

Utilizes EMR : Centricity

Beds : 14

Role Summary :

The L&D RN demonstrates clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership while providing safe, high-quality care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients. Duties include patient monitoring, assisting during deliveries, postpartum care, and nursery support, following hospital policies and the Nursing Process.
