DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Located in the U-District, Heart Institute at UW Medical Center Montlake provides a wide range of cardiac services, including early prevention, risk assessment and acute and chronic disease management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Patient Services Specialists and other assigned staff, and perform the work of the other Patient Services Specialist levels
- Direct, schedule and assist in the training of staff; provide feedback to supervisor on staff's performance
- Monitors daily performance dashboard; call waiting, queues, abandon rate and ensures daily work complete and accurate
- Identify and resolve problems or unusual situations; recommend changes as necessary
- Monitor and evaluate policies and procedures to suggest operational changes
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance of provider and clinic schedules
- Perform the work of the Patient Services Specialist 1, 2, and 3
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three years of Patient Support Service experience
- An equivalent combination of education / experience
