Cedar Springs Hospital has an opening for a Cook.

The Cook is responsible for food preparation of menus developed by the Dietary Consultant. The cook prepares and supervises aides in the preparation of foods based on recipes developed for the food service industry, which meet the current nutritional guidelines.

The Cook is responsible for ensuring that all food preparation is done to meet state, JCAHO, and federal standards and guidelines for safety and sanitation.

The Cook also attends meetings and in-service training as necessary.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, education in food services preferred. Two-years experience in food services. Knowledge of kitchen work.

Ability to supervise dietary personnel, interact with staff, patients, and co-workers in a positive manner.
