Roles / Responsibilities : This role will have an emphasis on Accounts Payable responsibilities as well as providing overall support to the Department.
Monitors and processes payments. Process journal vouchers. Initiates Collection Actions. Resolves undelivered order issues.
Posts credits, chargebacks, refunds and interest in the accounting system. Processes accounting reclassifications.
- Assists with month end and year end close. Resolves customer service issues independently. Provides occasional audit support-providing financial records and supporting documentation (to auditors), assisting in the development of process cycle memorandums, procedural walk-throughs, and responding to various inquiries.
- For tasks requiring tax knowledge : interprets and explains tax law. Ensures compliance with tax laws.
- Reconciles and files quarterly and annual compensation reports, and issues individual compensation reports for tax purposes including W-2, W-3, 1099 and 941 forms.
In the Commercial payments Section, there is an occasional need for assistance with tax policies / laws to ensure compliance.
Prepares periodic reports and analysis from configurable reports and dashboards for internal use and external reporting.
Perform testing related to system upgrades / implementation. Serve as a SME on task forces / working groups established to review / address complex issues related to accounting systems and operations.
Minimum qualifications :
- 3-5 years of Accounting (Accounts Payable) experience with transferable and relatable skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables)
- Quality-oriented for accurate, timely processing
- Strong Analytical skills, attention to detail

Preferred Skills :
- Strong MS Excel skills, particularly creating Macros and desire to achieve a high level of proficiency.
- Preferred : Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or related field of study.
Education :
Required : Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field of study. Clearance :
