The hiring company is privately held and funded and is dedicated to the advancement of cutting-edge cancer nanomedicines- for them, this work is personal.

The company is rapidly expanding their capabilities to advance a deep pipeline of new cancer therapeutics into the clinic.

Associate Scientists will be involved in all aspects of cancer nanomedicine development including concept and rationale, formulation development and testing, and will support senior staff in preparing data for regulatory submissions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assist research scientists by conducting basic laboratory procedures including ELISA, Western Blot, agarose gel electrophoresis, tissue culture
  • Maintaining multiple human and murine cell lines and other culture techniques such as proliferation studies and cell counting
  • Light microscopy, photography (light, fluorescence, phase contrast).
  • Isolating primary PBMCs or splenocytes
  • Working with in vitro and in vivo cancer models
  • Preparing media, buffers, and similar reagents
  • Maintaining clear and accurate laboratory records
  • Identifying, communicating, and reporting unusual results / outcomes
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly lab space
  • Understanding of foundational laboratory operations and related policies and procedures
  • Analysis of experimental data related to laboratory procedures for application to team progress

Qualifications :

  • B.S. with 3+ years of professional experience in a related field. Recent M.S. graduates with professional experience in professional or academic research environment.
  • Ability to take notes and communicate experimental methods, observations, and data verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
