As a Farm Credit Illinois Finance Intern, you will explore finance / accounting careers and gain valuable on-the-job experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and accounting applied to agricultural lending and crop insurance.

Expected weekly experiences include completion of meaningful projects and job shadowing opportunities. In this role you will support the business planning function, portfolio analysis reporting, and finance / accounting project work.

Required SkillsCandidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, work ethic, and integrity. Interns will be integrated into the Finance Team but will also need the initiative to learn and work independently.

Proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook software applications are required. Preferred SkillsStrong Excel experience preferred along with coursework in accounting and finance or experience with financial analysis, reporting, and / or budgeting.

Required EducationCandidates for an internship position must be enrolled as college students during the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters with the intent to be enrolled as students in Fall 2025 as well.

Preferred EducationDesired degree programs of candidates include finance, accounting, business administration, agricultural business, agricultural economics, or another related degree program.

The Finance Intern will work full-time (40 hours) during the 2025 Summer based at the central office in Mahomet, Illinois and have opportunities for day and overnight travel assignments throughout the southern 60 counties of Illinois.

Summer Intern hours are 8 : 00a.m. 4 : 30p.m., Monday Friday.
