This position will mainly support the General Surgery Clinic, but will be cross-trained to other specialty clinic areas.

Job Summary
The Medical Assistant in the Clinic is accountable for performing duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices and competency.
Education and / or Experience
n n n t
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate’s degree or diploma required upon hire.
- Six or more years in a healthcare setting and / or Medical Assisting

Licensure / Certification / Registration
n n n t
- Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
- Must be licensed through one of the following upon hire : n t n t t
- National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT).
n t t
National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association.

Clinic hours : 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm; 64 hours every 2 weeks

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
