Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range : $1,740 - $1,860 per week (estimated) Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nurse contract Setting : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit Shift : Day shifts, 3x12 hour shifts per week (36 hours / week) Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site Start Date : November 10, 2025 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or compact state BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification - required prior to first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification - required prior to first shift Minimum 2 years of recent clinical bedside experience as a Med / Surg RN Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Experience in travel nursing or healthcare jobs preferred Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all medical-surgical patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning from day of admission Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity and patient safety Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols Contribute positively to the team environment and participate in unit team-building activities Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Apply now to join our Wichita healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse and take the next step in your nursing career!
