What you will do

  • Perform computed tomography techniques and examinationsConducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
  • Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretationOperate CT equipment and select technical factorsResponsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.

Document all related data.Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.

Other ResponsibilitiesIdentify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.

Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.Resolve and escalate complex issues.Orient and train fellow staff technologists.

Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.Other shifts as assignedAll other duties as assigned

Licenses and Certifications

  • Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - within 12 months - Required or
  • Computed Tomography (CT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board - within 12 months - Required and
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex.

American Heart Association or Red Cross). - upon hire - Required

Education

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Technical Diploma Radiology Program Required

Experience

Pediatric Experience Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging
  • Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
  • Basic knowledge of radiology information systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
