Full time 40 hours a week is preferred but we may be able to accommodate part time.
Responsibilities :
- Develop Assembly Language Coding (ALC) programs using ALC coding standards.
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe ALC & Job Control Language (JCL) to meet support and project requirements.
- Execute unit tests and integration plans / scripts to ensure application changes meet technical specifications.
- Interface with business and IT teams to understand and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
- Collaborate with ALC developers to convert legacy ALC code to JAVA.
- Analyze, document, and convert complex ALC modules to Java.
- Support Java developers by explaining ALC code functioning and logic.
- Document existing logic and contribute to the ALC to Java conversion process.
- Work within an agile team to modernize existing systems.
- Experience with full systems development life cycle (SDLC) engineering methodologies.
Requirements :
- 5-8 years of collective experience in developing applications in ALC.
- Focus on defect resolution.
- Prior experience working on Agile teams.
- Ability to obtain IRS Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) Clearance.
- IRS / BMF / IMF / CADE 2 experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates.
- Understanding Java is a plus.
