Neonates Geriatrics

Will mainly work in all critical areas : ICUs, EDs, PCUs, NICU (but will not be primary RT)

Bubble CPAP NICU as a secondary to help with directions from primary RT

Covid & PPE : N95s / PAPRs

N95s / PAPRs

Patient Ratios :

Assign by point system

Required Certifications :

BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (must have scheduled class prior to starting)

CRRT or RRT

State licensure

Skills required

ABGs : draw and analyze, BiPAP, CPAP, Ventilator / Trach Management, Knowledgeable about various respiratory therapies and equipment

Neonate experience preferred.

Floating :

Expected to float through all ICU / ER / PCU

NICU if there is a surge as secondary RT

Inpatient rehab unit rare

All COVID units

Orientation :

1-2 hospital orientation

3x 12h days 1 : 1 with Lead RT

Scheduling : Shift times :

Shift times : Days : 0600-1830

Days : 0600-1830

Nights : 1800-0630

30-minute paid lunch

3 x 15 min rest periods

Filled in where RTs are needed on the schedule

Must be available to work 7 days a week

No self - scheduling

Weekend rotation : every other weekend

Open to schedule requests.

Need to request from manager if want to work 6 days in a row

Must request block scheduling- not guaranteed

2 weeks’ notice, 6-week schedule at a time

Time off : Able to approve up to 5 days. Email RT Manager : Emma Adams

Holiday Expectations : At least one holiday
