Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Structural Project Engineer with expertise in transportation structures such as bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and overhead sign structures to join our dynamic team in St. Louis. Our goal is to provide safe roadway systems through timely, efficient, and accurate designs, and to grow our clients’ confidence and trust in HR Green’s structural capabilities. Our team of engineers, planners, and scientists offers a strong mix of experience to ensure successful project completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, and technical reporting for structural projects including bridges, retaining walls, and pedestrian structures.
• Develop engineering plans for new bridges and bridge rehabilitations.
• Conduct thorough QA / QC checks on engineering and technical tasks completed by team members.
• Make significant design decisions tailored to the specific needs of our external customers.
• Proactively identify and address technical, schedule, or financial issues that may arise during project execution.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution from conception to completion.
• Help coordinate the efforts of EITs, junior engineers, and design technicians.
• Participate in creating engineering services proposals, including estimating time schedules and costs of the proposed work.
• Sign and seal engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company.
• Independently communicate on technical matters with clients.
