Job Description
Superior Spindle Service (a SunSource Company), the industry leader in Spindle repair and remanufacturing services has an opening for a Technical Buyer located in their Taylor, MI headquarter location.
This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and new supplier identification both domestically and international.
Strong communication skills are required as the liaison between the technical staff, suppliers, and company management. Must have ability to effectively deal with and resolve time sensitive supply chain issues and expedite orders in to achieve customer satisfaction and assigned lead time targets.

Job Responsibilities Include :
- Source repair components specific to Spindle Repair
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality performance
- Prepare accurate purchase orders and send copies to suppliers as needed
- Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials if necessary
- Respond and adapt to customer priority changes as needed
- Contact suppliers to schedule, expedite deliveries, resolve shortages and missed or late deliveries
- Work with technical staff to identify suitable substitutions as necessary
- Verify inventory values by comparing them to physical stock counts, investigate discrepancies and adjust errors.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- This candidate must have 3-5 years of previous experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong negotiation and cost management skills
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of Precision Bearings and some electronics is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to multitask
