ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will handle various legal tasks, including extensive client contact, legal advice, research, negotiation, and litigation.
You will work collaboratively with our team to effectively represent our clients and achieve successful outcomes. This position is on-site.
RESPONSBILITIES
- Handle family law cases, including child custody, asset division, pre-and post-marital agreements, and domestic violence.
- Provide sound and practical legal advice to clients.
- Conduct extensive legal research and analysis.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
- Represent clients in court and during mediations.
- Manage and prioritize a caseload effectively.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of family law.
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to provide sound and practical legal advice.
- Effective negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.
- Ability to analyse and comprehend complex legal issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage a caseload effectively.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar.
- Experience in civil litigation and / or family law is a plus.
