POSITION SUMMARY :
The Project Manager is experienced in managing projects in design and / or construction for projects in the State(s) of New Jersey.
Experienced in client management, design principals, and construction practices. Project Manager shall have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and shall be a licensed engineer.
PRIMARY DUTIES :
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a client representative & responsible to oversee client representatives as may be assigned
- Attend & coordinate attendance of client meetings as required by project managers
- Coordinate attendance of project meetings as required by project managers
- Attend events & public meetings
- Responsible for client & prospective client proposals and contracts
Communications and Accountability
- Keeps Department Head Informed of Challenges, Success, Weaknesses and Opportunities
- Interacts weekly or more frequently, as needed with Technical Leader where appropriate
- Coordinate Staffing needs with department manager(s)
- Establish Responsibilities for Projects involving Multiple Disciplines
Management and Administration
- Implementation of QAQC and other company policies and procedures
- Staff Management and development
- Project Management including Periodic Meetings with other Project Managers and Client Representatives for whom the Department is performing services
- Resource Planning management and staff utilization
- Department Culture and Engagement in Company Culture
Performance Metrics
- Financials : Gross Revenue, Project Profitability, AR, Held Time & Write Off
- Staff Development
- Staff Utilization
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES :
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong NJ Civil / Site Engineering experience
- Site Development for Commercial Properties in Urban Environments is Ideal
- Experience with urban environmental factors and utility conflicts
- Ability to make public presentations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions to present to co-workers and clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with computer aided design software a plus
- Ability to work in groups as well as individually
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
A Degree in Engineering or related field.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES REQUIRED
NJ PE License Required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
Work requires frequent and prolonged computer use, and may include occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
