Job Title : Travel Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab
Location : Cambridge, MA
Hours : 40 hours / week; includes on-call duties. It is expected to rotate through the pre- and post-holding areas in addition to the cath lab.
Contract : 8-week
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and pre / post Holding Areas.
- Administer and monitor diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, interventions, and assist with procedures such as Rotablator, IVUS, FFR, and hemodynamics.
- Operate and manage IABP and Impella devices.
- ECMO management (preferred).
- Perform all roles within the Cath Lab and / or EP Lab, including sedation, monitoring, circulating, and scrub roles.
- Ensure patient safety and provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements :
- Current Massachusetts RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Recent Cath Lab experience, ideally 3-5 years minimum.
- Proficiency with diagnostic caths, interventions, rotablators, IVUS, FFR, and hemodynamics.
- IABP and Impella experience are required.
- Experience in ECMO management is preferred.
- Versatility in all Cath Lab and / or EP roles is highly preferred (sedation, monitor, circulator, and scrub roles).
- Previous foundational ICU or emergency department experience is preferred.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification is preferred.
