Under supervision the selected candidate will : -Develop and reviews documents associated with design-build projects.-Provide oversight of design-build consultants and projects.
- Perform structural engineering work of moderate difficulty and responsibility; develop and check structural calculations.
- Will be required to use Bentley MicroStation to create technical drawings-Review technical drawings and specifications-Review and respond to contractor submittals and transmittals.
- Visit project sites to observe and record existing conditions-Visit construction sites to observe and record contractor activities.
- A valid New York State Professional Engineer's License and either : A master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university and three years of full-time, satisfactory experience in civil engineering work;
or Four years of full-time, satisfactory experience in civil engineering work.Two years' minimum work experience in structural / civil analysis and design, creating and checking structural calculations.
Experience or familiarity with construction site operations and construction methods, and willingness to visit sites as project may require.
Prior use structural analysis software.Prior use of structural engineering design specifications, codes, standards and practices.
Prior use of CADD / BIM software.Preferred experience : Bentley MicroStation.Prior use of word processing and spreadsheet software.
30-Hour OSHA Certification and 8-hour Lead Awareness Course are required.
