Position Overview : The Onsite Lead / Supervisor, Events and Production will be responsible for managing production teams and ensuring that all aspects of the event are delivered on time and within budget.

This role requires 3-5+ years of relevant experience in event and production management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Onsite Event Management :
  • Supervise the setup, execution, and teardown of events, ensuring that all activities are completed according to the project plan and client expectations.
  • Direct and coordinate onsite production teams, including technicians, crew members, and contractors, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Ensure that all event elements, including equipment, materials, and resources, are properly installed and functioning as intended.
  • Client Relations :
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients during events, addressing any issues, concerns, or changes promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the status of the event and manage any last-minute requests or modifications.
  • Timeline and Budget Oversight :
  • Monitor and manage project timelines to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Oversee budget adherence, ensuring that all expenditures are within allocated limits and managing any unforeseen costs effectively.
  • Implement and enforce procedures to optimize resource usage and control costs.
  • Quality Control :
  • Ensure that all aspects of the event meet high-quality standards and align with the clients vision and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of event setups and operations to identify and resolve any potential issues before the event begins.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Lead, motivate, and manage onsite production teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring that everyone is informed and prepared for their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings to review performance and address any issues.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability :
  • Proactively identify and address any challenges or issues that arise during the event, implementing solutions quickly and effectively.
  • Adapt to changing conditions and client requests with flexibility and professionalism.
  • Develop and execute contingency plans as needed to handle unexpected situations.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelors degree in Event Management, Production, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience : 3-5+ years of directly relevant experience in event and production management, with a proven track record of successful onsite supervision.
  • Skills :
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects within timelines and budget constraints.
  • Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Knowledge of event production equipment and technical requirements.
