We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in both residential and / or light commercial settings. The technician must be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine maintenance and service on HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using appropriate testing devices and tools.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Install HVAC systems and ensure compliance with company standards and local codes.
- Complete service orders, maintenance logs, and other required documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating findings, proposed solutions, and answering client questions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites and in service vehicles.
- Stay current with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency service calls, as required.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or service.Valid EPA Certification (Type I, II, or Universal) required.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or extreme weather conditions.Preferred Qualifications :
NATE certificationExperience with residential and light commercial systems.Familiarity with smart HVAC controls and building automation systems.Compensation and Benefits :
