Pressing Team Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pressing Team Lead to oversee technicians in our Pressing Area. This hourly role involves leading production activities, operating manual and automated systems, ensuring sanitation, and supporting quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide technicians during production.
  • Operate and monitor pressing equipment and automated systems.
  • Move press cages and manage product flow.
  • Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and equipment.
  • Direct product waste to disposal systems.
  • Adjust product storage temperatures using manual / electronic controls.
  • Collect samples for lab testing and prepare intermediate products.
  • Report equipment or material issues promptly.
  • Assist with tank farm duties (e.g., hose connections).
  • Uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • 1+ year experience in automated food processing.
  • Knowledge of sample collection, sanitation, and record keeping.
  • Ability to read manuals, write reports, and perform basic math (fractions, percentages).
  • Physically able to lift 40 lbs repeatedly and push / pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in high-noise environments and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; industrial technology education preferred.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen.

    • Work Conditions

  • Standing for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
  • Exposure to odors, humidity, and varying temperatures.
  • Use of industry-approved PPE.
