As an independent contractor, you'll enjoy flexibility, competitive compensation, and the chance to run your own transportation business with our support.
General Route Summary :
The driver will be handling retail, wholesale, industrial, and medical supplies. All routes are 5 days / week.
Vehicle type needed : 16ft Box Truck with liftgate
Pay Rate : $200.00 - 225.00 per day
- Schedules Available : Monday through Friday : 5 : 00am to 3 : 00pm hours may vary depending on the route.
- Total Miles : 50-150 / day in town up to 320 out of town
- Weight : Weight : Heaviest piece weighs 50 lbs. May have 3-5 of these per day or more.
Responsibilities :
- Safely and efficiently operate a 16ft box truck to deliver goods to various destinations.
- Ensure the secure and timely transport of cargo, following all safety and traffic regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to coordinate deliveries and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and care.
Qualifications :
- Must own or lease a 16ft box truck.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of navigational devices.
- Experience as a cargo / sprinter van driver preferred.
- Must be over 21.
- Knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy packages (Up to 50lbs).
- Reliable and punctual.
