Hospital Benefit : They have an inhouse Nurse Practitionerin the Health Department who sees only employees and theirdependents.

• 16 hoursunbillable
• 1.25 multiplier for OT
• The client is allowed to cancel 4 shifts per 13weeks

PRINCIPLE DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Provides holisticcare for postoperative patients including those who have hadorthopedic bariatric urologic or general surgical

procedures

Assesses patients asappropriate to the scope of care the nurse will provide.Assessments may include : physical psychosocial learning

needs and barriers relating to age / culture and dischargeplanning.

Establishes nursing diagnoses basedon results of assessments and in collaboration with theinterdisciplinary team.

Plans care according toidentified diagnoses and needs. Updates plan of care asappropriate.

Implements / performs individualizedcare based on the nursing care plan and the nurses role with thepatient. This care may include but not

belimited to :

Assisting with activities of dailyliving including fall risk management and safe patienthandling.

Medication Administration

Skin assessment / wound care

Painmanagement

Operation / manipulation of biomedicaland other patient care and testing equipment including but notlimited to infusion pumps patient

transferequipment cardiopulmonary monitors invasive catheters and drainsthermoregulation devices measurement devices

medication dispensing cabinets and external therapeuticdevices.

Assisting the physician and otherlicensed independent practitioners with invasive and noninvasiveprocedures.

Teaching patients and theirfamilies about current illness medical tests medication generalhealthcare illness and disease prevention

andwellness promotion.

Providing appropriateassignment supervision and direction to unlicensed assistivepersonnel to ensure optimum patient care.

Providing interdisciplinary coordination and facilitation ofoverall care.

Documents patient assessmentsinterventions care and teaching in the electronic medical record.Documents in paper format as

necessary.Documentation is complete concise timely and legible.

Evaluate care provided and communicate patient status andresults of care to the interdisciplinary team.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of Med Surg experience REQUIRED
• pediatricexperience preferred
• EPICexperience REQUIRED
• Certifications dont need to be active at thetime of submission but must be willing toobtain
• OR license doesntneed to be active at the time of submission but must be willing toobtain
