Job Summary

Assists new and returning students with administering placement exams, makeup exams and classroom online exams. Serves as a lead person for Pearson VUE , Measure (aka Scantron) business and industry certification and College Level Examination Placement (CLEP).

Liaison with academic departments, Fields of Interest (FOIs), student affairs programs and staff. Leads the work of temporary and student workers, trains other staff, and implements technology advancements in their area of responsibility.

Prepares reports, updates website and creates FMS requisitions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

30% - Leads and administers group testing and administers all test type exams

20% - Leads and administers Pearson Vue, Measure (aka Scantron) and CLEP testing

20% - Leads and trains other staff on various test administration. Performs data analysis and makes recommendations

15% - Prepares reports, program materials and updates website. Creates FMS requisitions

10% Provides information and refers students to various programs (Early Outreach, Nursing, EMT, etc.)

5% - Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and / or Google Suite
  • Two (2) years of experience using Student Information Systems
  • Two (2) years of experience in higher education testing services
  • Two (2) years of knowledge of Pearson VUE, Measure (aka Scantron) and / or CLEP testing
  • One (1) year experience leading the work of and / or training others
  • Two (2) years of experience with student programs

Special Working Conditions

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving : http : / / www.

  • Travel to campus during interview / selection process will be at candidate's own expense
  • Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations
  • May require numerous evenings or weekends
  • May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
  • May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs
