The RN working in the Radiation Therapy Department works in conjunction with the Radiation Oncologist, physicist and other radiation therapist to assure the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy.

He / she influences the care delivery system by interacting with the patient, family, physician, radiation therapist, appropriate nursing staff, and ancillary departments acting as a liaison between disciplines as necessary.

He / she assists the Chief Therapist / Dosimetrist with administrative functions as necessary. He / she will adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of the assigned unit, department, and institution.

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

OCN preferred, two years of experience in oncology nursing.
