is currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Hospitalist to join its successful, growing team at its brand-new, 50, sq ft Hunt Valley, MD location that opened in June ! This person will work with the emergency team, assisting in the intake and management of hospitalized emergency patients, creating and recommending treatment plans, maintaining and updating medical records and facilitating transfers to the appropriate specialty service as needed.
The ideal candidate will be internship-trained or have at least two years of professional experience as a Veterinarian prior to their application with Pet+ER.

The Veterinary Hospitalist will work directly with our emergency and critical care team. Their primary responsibility will be to receive transfers from the emergency veterinarians that require hospitalization.
Patients may be transferred the same day, the following day, or may be discharged by hospitalist on the following day. Secondary responsibility would include receiving minor follow up appointments that come through as same day emergencies as well as low acuity emergencies (i.e., urgent care).
Our hospital operates under the oversight of our Medical Director, a boarded criticalist. Our state-of-the-art, brand-new facility is equipped to handle the specific needs of each patient.
We have a comprehensive suite of equipment and services all under one roof to handle the most severe animal injuries and illnesses, including digital radiology, in-house lab, ICU, surgery suites, oxygen ward, isolation ward, and high-flow oxygen.
