The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Medicine Division of Gastroenterology The University of Missouri School of Medicine's Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is pleased to announce an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join their growing team in our outpatient clinic, the Digestive Health Center.

This is an excellent opportunity for newly graduated APRNs or PAs to get started in an in-demand specialty, learn new skills, and maintain an excellent work-life balance.

Duties include but are not limited to : Independently provide professional medical support for Gastroenterology patient care.

Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to promote team-based patient care. Coordinate care for patients after discharge from the hospital with GI procedures such as per oral endoscopic myotomy.

Assist with screening patient conditions and needs. Educate patients on health maintenance, nutritional intake, and disease prevention.

Act as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in area of expertise. Set nutritional treatment plans and prescribe appropriate actions to meet the plans within the established protocols, such as : Improve follow-up on adjusting therapy ordered by GI providers Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plan accordingly, in line with GI provider recommendations Other duties as assigned.

The anticipated Schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8a - 5p, or as required in this setting. Pay will be commensurate with experience Employees of the University of Missouri and University of Missouri Healthcare are eligible for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
