Title : Benefits Analyst
Duration : 05 Months contract
Location : Remote
Shift 40 Hour’s week
Job Description :
- Must be knowledgeable of 401(k) retirement and disability / leave management plans and programs
- Evaluate and compare existing company benefits to other regional and same-industry employers to ensure benefits package remains competitive
- Recommend new or modified plans. Work with insurance broker to obtain bids. Evaluate quotes and make recommendations to management.
- Participate in annual health and welfare benefits renewal planning. Evaluate changes, develop cost information for new or changed plans and make recommendation to management on cost sharing between employer and employee
- Ensure the development and execution of administrative policies and amendments governing employee benefit plans that are in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Develop / revise benefits communication materials
- Collaborate with carrier to ensure enrollment system accurately reflects changes
- Manage entire enrollment process
- Counsel employees and managers on policies, procedures, and benefit offerings by providing accurate and legal information that acts in the best interest of the company
- Collect, assess, and report on program participation and costs
- Partner with benefit carriers to assure process improvement and delivery of plans and programs
- Leverage knowledge to support benefits initiatives
- Act as mentor for Associate Benefit Analyst and Benefit Analyst roles
- Assist in the benefits portion of the new hire orientation program
- Maintain accurate benefit files and records
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR or Management required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in employee benefits with solid working knowledge of health & welfare, defined contribution, disability and leave programs
Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong HRIS skills preferred
- Ability to plan and evaluate programs
- Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long-range goals
