The following listing outlines the overall responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate
This list is subject to additions and deletions as our business evolves.
Receiving incoming packages coming in from any carrier
Counting goods
Quality check for damaged goods
Imprint check on goods
Inventory goods compare incoming counts to current stock counts to make sure qty matches computer total
Pull stock orders for outgoing shipments
Pack and process (ship) outgoing shipments
Arrange warehouse stock items to display neatly and in order
Organization of warehouse
Provide freight quotes to salespeople when requested
Drop off packages to freight forwarder when needed.
Kit special project orders. This will be case-by-case basis as it’s not every day. This sometimes will require overtime hours or coming in on the weekend.
Daily Cleanup :
- Break down boxes
- Sweeping
- Reset & prep for following morning
SHIPPING (SHIPPER / PACKER)
Knowledge of shipping by UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL, Delivery Service (2), and Truck etc.
Operation and daily maintenance of Neopost Manifest System
Generation of shipping reports
Packaging of product in a manner that protects and best presents the product and our company
Performing the FINAL check of outbound merchandise in our DOUBLE CHECK system
Assure proper counts and documentation of all paperwork
Schedule and arrange pickups
USPS Metering of daily mail
Daily maintenance and setting of postage meter
Issuing UPS Call Tags
Maintaining shipping & packaging supplies
Best Way shipping (Find the best way and price for our clients)
KEY POINTS
Develop good relationships with each department. (Accounting, Production, Program, Sales, and Sales Support)
Being a self starter
