JobSummary :

Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on motorcontrols and a passion for innovative design We are seeking anexperienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in North HoustonTX.

This role involves designing electric motor controls foroverhead cranes and hoists applying technical specifications andsupporting product development.

If you have expertise in AutoCADPLC programming and the NEC Electrical Code and youre locatedwithin a onehour commute of Houston we want to hear fromyou.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Design : Develop and implement electric motor controls for overhead cranesand hoists ensuring compliance with safetystandards.
• Example : Design control systems for cranes operating at up to 800V DC and4160VAC.
• Application : Apply specifications for Magnetic Motor Starters Relays and ACinverters to optimizeperformance.
• Example : Configure AC inverters to meet specific projectrequirements.
• ProductDevelopmentSupport : Assist in all phases of product development from concept through tofinalproduction.
• Example : Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate new controlsystems into existingproducts.
• Calculations : Perform calculations to determine appropriate wire sizes andoverload protection for complex electricalsystems.
• Example : Calculate wire gauge and circuit protection for highvoltage cranesystems.
• ProblemResolution : Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot andresolve manufacturing and designissues.
• Example : Identify and address wiring issues during the productionphase.
• TechnicalDrawings : Prepare singleline diagrams panel layouts and interconnect drawingsusing AutoCAD or ZukenE3.
• Example : Create detailed electrical diagrams for new controlsystems.
• ComponentSpecification : Select and specify components such as relays starters and circuitbreakers based on project requirements and industrystandards.
• Example : Specify and size components to optimize system performance andreliability.
• DesignImprovement : Provide input on design improvements to enhance functionality andreducecosts.
• Example : Suggest modifications to circuit designs to improveefficiency.
• Collaboration : Work closely with mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams toensure seamless control systemintegration.
• Example : Align electrical designs with mechanical constraints for optimalperformance.
• FieldSupport : Travel up to 10% domestically to support field activities includingclient meetings andtroubleshooting.
• Example : Visit client sites to troubleshoot and resolve control systemissuesonsite.

Requirements

Mandatory :

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (highlypreferred).
• 37years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus onElectricalDesign.
• Expertisein Motor Controls and AutoCAD Electrical 2016 (or other electricalCADexperience).
• Proficiencyin PLCProgramming.
• Strongknowledge of NEC ElectricalCode.
• Experiencewith Rockwell Siemens or Danfoss PLC / VFDprogramming.
• Localcandidates only must reside within a onehour commute of HoustonTX.

Preferred :

• Experiencewith ZukenE3.
• PLC andHMI experience particularly with Rockwell Siemens or Danfosssystems.
