- The Workplace Health & Safety team is dedicated to the safety and well-being of all employees, providing strategic direction, resources, and best practices to create safe work environments. The Medical Representative plays a key role in supporting these goals by delivering onsite medical care and health guidance.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and compassionate Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join the Workplace Health & Safety team. You will work closely with WHS leadership and other safety personnel to provide first aid, case management, injury prevention, and health education to associates. This is a critical frontline role requiring independent clinical judgment, excellent communication, and commitment to workplace health standards.Key Responsibilities
Provide first aid treatment and make referrals to external medical providers as needed.Maintain accurate records of all care provided and coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for work-related injuries.Engage with associates and leadership to identify and coach on at-risk work behaviors and promote injury prevention.Maintain a clean, safe medical work area and ensure medical supplies are stocked.Participate in and deliver training and certification courses for First Aid, CPR, and AED.Support emergency response efforts and ensure effective care delivery during incidents.Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.Attend weekly safety committee and case management review meetings.Provide daily logs and end-of-shift reports to WHS management.Work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) provider.One of the following :Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic Certification (Department of Health or NREMT), ORSix months recent experience as a military medic (Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, Aerospace Medical Service Technician), ORCurrent active Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or equivalent state certification).Preferred Qualifications
Certification to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital record keeping.Experience with industrial wellness programs and OSHA regulations.Knowledge of workers’ compensation programs.Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and body mechanics coaching.Work Environment & Schedule
Onsite position at FC Sortable, Sioux Falls, SD (no remote option).Standard 40-hour workweek, increasing to 50 hours / week during peak holiday season with overtime compensation.Shift work Wednesday through Saturday (BHDs), with flexible hours including nights and holidays.Two-week training period at start of assignment.Compliance & Additional Information
Must obtain adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification within 3 weeks of start if not currently certified.Background check required; if driving company-issued vehicle, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required.This is NOT a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated position.Submitting suppliers must adhere to strict confidentiality and compliance policies.About US Tech Solutions :
