PositionOverview :
The Mechanical Engineeris a key member of the mechanical engineering team for multipleclients on multiple projects. Their responsibilities include thedesign and specifications of mechanical structures and equipmentaccording to industry standards using prescribed methods associatedwith mechanical systems for new construction and facilityrenovation projects as well as verifying mechanical designdeliverables.
He / she performs specific andlimited portions of broad assignments under the direction andoversight of an experienced licensed Senior MechanicalEngineer.
EssentialFunctions :
- Preparemechanical designs layouts design sketches conceptual designs tocapture design intent and meet completion deadlines of multipleprojects.
- Generate detailed equipment sizingdesign calculations for mechanical equipment and prepare equipmentdata sheets.
- Develop mechanical simulationmodels and optimize designs.
- Design of HVACplumbing systems as well as research of related buildingcodes.
- Support development of schedules workassignments and staffing requirements to ensure successful projectcompletion.
- Collaborate with other designersand engineers assigned to each project as well as review workprogress and results.
- Develop and submit fieldreports with documentation of all jobactivities.
- Mentor and supervise a MechanicalEngineer EIT.
- Be aware of possible businessdevelopment opportunities for the firm.
- Othertasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure inMechanical Engineering.
- Bachelors degree inmechanical engineering from an accredited fouryearuniversity.
- Five to ten years relevantexperience performing engineeringrelatedduties.
- Healthcare facility design experienceis highly desirable.
- Experience working withRevit MEP tool.
- Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeSuite required
