Full Time Receptionist
Utah Valley Pediatrics is currently looking for a Full Time Medical Receptionist in our Saratoga Springs office, Spanish speaking preferred
This position will work full time hours, with final schedule determined by office manager.
Essential Job Functions for Medical Receptionist :
Be present and punctual on all shifts.
Attend daily huddles, monthly staff meetings, and any other meetings as determined by your manager.
Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines / regulations.
Conduct self following UVP's mission statement and values.
Responsibilities for Medical Receptionist :
Greet patients & parents in a polite, prompt, helpful manner and provide any necessary instructions and / or directions.
Inform nursing staff of patient arrivals. Be aware of patients in the waiting room and alert nursing staff of emergent conditions and maintain a clean and orderly waiting area.
- Obtain and enter new patient demographics; update patient information in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing.
- Obtain insurance information, Verify with the patient this is the current insurance for that child.
- Collect all co-pays, deductibles, and balances. Properly apply for payments.
- Distribute and explain all UVP forms to the patient / parent. Review returned forms to assure completion.
- Schedule appointments for patients. Remind patients / parents about upcoming appointments, including phone calls, voice reminders, texts, and / or emails.
Promptly answer incoming phone calls; including assisting with lunch hour calls.
A medical receptionist can be responsible for opening and closing the office, according to office guidelines
- At closing, compile all monies received, match the day's transactions, and complete the deposit procedure.
- Send and receive medical records; invoice as needed.
- Prepare, sort, and distribute mail.
- All other duties as assigned
