The Mortgage Sales Manager manages and leads a team to achieve excellent member service, production goals, operational excellence, growth, and profitability in the department.
This position will recruit and identify outside experienced loan officers and identify and train Loan Officers inside Langleys employee base with the potential for success.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities :
- Assists with Loan Officer training to retain current employees and manage performance.
- Reviews and evaluates information on mortgage loan documents to determine if borrower, property, and loan conditions meet credit union and regulatory standards for personal production and team production.
- Works with fellow managers and underwriting to pre-approve, request additional information, or reject loan applications in a timely manner.
Reviews terms and conditions with borrower or loan officer.
- Communicates business goals, objectives and company performance results to staff.
- Promotes an effective sales environment through sales training, individual and team coaching.
- Actively participates in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations, and maintains a thorough understanding of mortgage industry knowledge and current issues.
- Collaborates with Marketing Department in the creation of marketing materials.
- Acts as liaison between Langleys Mortgage department and other departments / areas of the credit union.
- Cross-sells other credit union products and services.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Five or more years of experience as a Retail Mortgage Loan Originator required.
