Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position in another store or future location.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members involved (Professional - All delivery and installer service specialists; Retail - All parts and merchandising specialists).
- Supervise work performed by all team members assigned to store / HUB store, and work with district manager and store manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members under supervision.
- Communicate information from Team Weekly and monthly store managers' meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members; handle performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
- Support store manager with assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and comprehensive staff training; reinforce safety expectations.
- Make sales calls with or without the store manager; may be scheduled for weekly customer calls.
- Support store operations as assigned; maintain delivery fleet and records for each vehicle.
- Ensure the store / HUB store is neat, clean, and organized at all times; learn electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll, and use the electronic scheduling and timekeeping system and payroll entry functions.
- Learn to manage key components of gross profit; monitor returns for core and warranty abuse; review price matches and price overrides for proper use; monitor daily KPI dashboard and discuss opportunities; review monthly P&L with store manager.
Qualifications
Required :High School Diploma
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skillsCompletion of Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development ProgramAbility to read and match numerical / alpha characters quickly and accuratelyKnowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systemsDesired :O'Reilly store and / or distribution center experience
Completed O'Reilly management training programAdvanced computer skillsASE CertificationFluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)Compensation & Benefits
