Under the direction of the Quality Lab Supervisor, this position is responsible for the completion of testing and inspecting completed parts.
Also responsible for dimensional analysis and supporting other departments as needed. 1st Shift : 11pm - 7am Sunday-Thursday, with potential overtime on the weekends$18.
30 / hour plus a $1 / hour perfect attendance incentive paid out weekly Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Complete product / process inspections
- managing files and software for a production environment as well as a lab environment.
- Working overtime as needed including some weekend hours.
- Maintaining TS16949 / ISO14001 / EMS Certifications
- Understanding customer expectations as they relate to product quality.
- Perform 1st piece inspection of manufactured product
- Perform in process inspection of manufactured product
- Perform product specific tests including but not limited to tensile
- Perform moisture analysis on manufactured product as well as incoming materials
- Verify material certification and approve raw materials
- Enter and edit SPC data in the SPC Computer file
- File all QA records and samples
- Use incoming color chip samples to verify colarant in receiving
- Handle non-confirming material isolation and documentation
- Perform dimensional layout referencing
- Use control plans, PPAP, and PPC testing
- Assist in maintaining quality and environmental certifications by supporting corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
- Determine "clean poin" when a non-conformance is found
- Support LEAN Work Environment
- Reading and understanding blueprints
- Ability to use basic hand measuring tools
- Molding knowledge is a plus
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year minimum of prior lab experience
- Good math and communication skills
- Computer Skills Windows, Excel
- Mic and Caliper knowledge
- Bend over in order to pick up 50 pounds
- Ability to lift / push / pull / cary up to 50 pounds
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to meet the needs of the department
