Position : Psychiatric-Mental Health Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN)
Location : Broward County, FL
Job Type : Per Diem
Expected Hours : 5 10 hours per week
Shifts Available : Day and Evening
We are currently hiring a Psychiatric-Mental Health Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) to provide compassionate psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults.
Qualifications :
- Education : Graduated from an accredited nursing program (master’s or doctoral degree) in psychiatric nursing, recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs or its successor.
- Certification : National advanced practice certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
- Licensure : Licensed in the State of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
- Experience : At least 2 years of post-master’s clinical experience under the supervision of a physician.
- Skills : Psychiatric assessment, evaluation, medication management, treatment planning, and medical / psych intervention.
- Compliance : Up-to-date on all required trainings.
- DEA : Active DEA number.
- Medicaid : Valid Medicaid ID.
- E-FORCSE : Access to the E-FORCSE system.
- Screening : Clear Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprint Screening and Drug Test.
Preferred but Not Required :
Bilingual in Haitian Creole, Spanish, or Portuguese.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Provide medication management, consultations, stabilization services, discharge planning, and involuntary placement hearings as required.
- Collaborate with MAHCS staff to address clinical inquiries and provide expert guidance.
- Document all services accurately in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, including orders, labs, and e-prescribing.
- Respond to client and family concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
