Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Director of Creative Media will serve as the football department's design coordinator, be responsible for the direction and growth of The University of Tulsa Football brand and will manage the football primary social media outlets.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES :
Graphic DesignDevelop graphic design collateral for external units to utilize for digital and printed purposes. Collateral will be expected to grow the visibility and brand for The University of Tulsa Football programIn-House Materials - team collateral materials including but not limited to camp brochures, stationary, internal documents, team schedules, etc.
- will use working knowledge of the printing process, digital photography, videography, and techniques for use in motion graphics;
- supervise creative photo shoots of playersRecruiting Materials - Create compelling designs and infographics that effectively promote Tulsa Football;
creates and organizes a working system to produce recruiting materials and the resources needed; designs mailings, social media, and personal recruiting campaigns.Social Media
Manage and direct content for the football department's primary social media sites including the creation and implementation of yearly social media strategies and plansWork with video, communications and marketing department staffs to ensure that content is regularly updated on department's main social media accounts, while regularly engaging with fans on social mediaGame Day
Photograph the game day atmosphere in order to produce content that shows off one of the most unique game day experience in college football;
capture and collectscontent during games to use as resources for recruiting, marketing and coaching staff materials.Perform other duties as needed / assignedRequired Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree3 plus years of relevant experience in intercollegiate athleticsExperience with Photography, InDesign, Photoshop and After EffectsStrong knowledge of social media platforms and trendsExceptional design, communication, and social media analytical skillsProven ability to develop an effective social media design plan to achieve goalsStrong creative skills to further enhance the department's brandStrong work ethic, self-starterStrong attention to detail and communication (written / verbal) skills are also preferred.
Candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
