SA047 SSED Desktop System Administrator

ADNET Systems plans to hire a desktop system administrator with five or more years of experience into its team supporting the Solar System Exploration Division at NASA / GSFC.

The candidate will help manage a heterogeneous mixture of Windows and Mac computers, and will work directly with scientists to enable their data processing and scientific needs while implementing NASA policies and requirements.

The successful candidate will also assist users in writing specifications for new computers and with the procurement process.

Excellent computer management, diagnostician and interpersonal skills are therefore necessary.

This is a hybrid position allowing some telework but requiring regular attendance at GSFC.

Experience (required) :

  • At least five years experience managing Windows and Mac computers
  • An ability to approach problems creatively in real time.
  • US Citizenship required

Experience (optional) :

  • Knowledge of the Red Hat operating systems or its derivatives
  • Familiarity with automated management tools such as BigFix, SCCM, PDQ and Jamf. Experience with writing and implementing Group Policy Objects on Windows systems.
  • Experience with implementing PIV or CAC cards on Windows and Mac computers.
