Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Full Time, Per Diem
Cypress Care Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a full-time, in-house position within our subacute rehabilitation unit.
In this impactful role, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to our residents, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in Treatment : Support Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance residents' mobility and functional abilities.
- Therapeutic Interventions : Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises and modalities, to help residents regain strength and coordination.
- Patient Monitoring : Observe and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist for necessary adjustments.
- Patient Education : Educate residents and their families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to facilitate recovery and promote independence.
- Collaboration : Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff, to ensure coordinated care.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatments and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications :
- Education : Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensure : Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida.
- Experience : Previous experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a passion for patient care and teamwork.
