We are seeking an Associate Attorney in our active defense litigation firm with a focus on general litigation and environmental law practice.
- Experience : Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on litigation experience, managing cases from start to finish, including complex motion practice, pleadings, discovery, depositions, client communication, and managing junior associates.
- Location : Main office in Burbank, California; hybrid work environment available.
- Requirements :
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- CA State Bar License.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including oral argument skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong computer skills.
- Preferred Qualifications :
- Familiarity with environmental law, including bedrock environmental laws like CERCLA.
- Background in geology or hydrogeology.
- Experience in trial, class action, toxic tort, and / or environmental regulatory agency cases.
- Administrative and managerial experience.
- Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage discovery processes, including written discovery, depositions, and document analysis.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings and complex motions.
- Conduct legal research.
- Appear in court as required.
- Supervise junior associates and follow instructions from supervising partners.
