Software Resources has an immediate, contract to hire job opportunity for a Manager, Electrical Engineering with a major corporation in Atlanta, GA.

3-6 month Contract-to-Hire

Schedule : Hybrid 1 day / week in office, 4 days remote

Travel : Up to 25%

Job Description :

Searching for a Manger, Mechanical Engineering. You will provide leadership and strategic direction for the design, development and maintenance of devices supporting key business functions.

You will lead a team(s) that is developing and supporting hardware-based solutions at an enterprise level. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions :

Oversees mechanical engineering processes and teams and retains technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating projects.

Assigns, manages and performs project work, including scope, schedule, resource allocation and budget.

Analyzes and reviews project design and development, ensuring alignment with business requirements and performs engineering calculations to support design work.

Ensures technical drawings, plans and specifications are developed per company practice and customer specifications.

Engages with electrical, software and other technical colleagues / teams to ensure alignment and project coordination.

Provides technical advice regarding mechanical systems and related design changes, risk management and change control.

Guarantees delivery of secure, high quality, well tested and scalable systems components to meet customer and business requirements.

Engages with customers, end users and business partners to understand system problems and issues.

Manage team members responsible for the development and maintenance of systems that orchestrate key business activities.

Lead the team(s) in the operation of applications deployed throughout the enterprise.

Coach team(s) on product delivery and career development. Manage all HR related duties for the team.

Ensure high quality engineering execution results in reliable, performant and robust applications.

Collaborate with partners from Product, Architecture and other Engineering teams to design and deliver effective technical solutions.

Lead team(s) in identifying, prioritizing and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

Create and manage appropriate processes to deliver a quality customer experience through effective development and operational support.

Work with the team(s) and utilize metrics to continuously improve both our systems and our processes.

Understand the business processes your team supports and the measures of success for the business.

Delivers solutions consistent with organizational technology strategy.

Qualifications :

Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience performing mechanical or electrical engineering design and development.

In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a master's degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated or a Ph.

D. or foreign equivalent in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated.

Successful experience as part of a product development team as well as leadership of 2 or more team members.

Experience working with technical teams using Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD or similar computer aided software

Full product development lifecycle experience from concept to manufacturing to operation.

Electrical Engineering experience with design of simple PCBs is desired, but not required.
