A large system in Nebraska / Iowa is looking for a Night ICU RN for 12 hours shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. Must have 1 year of unit experience with Cardiac ICU experience.

Schedule Information
12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.
Shifts & Scheduling : 0630-1900, 1830-0700.
Weekend Requirements : Every other.
Holiday Requirements : As needed.
Unit Specific Information
# of Beds : 16
Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Young adults through geriatrics, sepsis, STEMI, COVID, stroke, neurosurgery, renal failure, respiratory failure, COPD, cancer, DKA.
Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes
Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Sedation, paralytics, pressors, antihypertensives, heparin, insulin.
Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Yes
Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Yes- 1 : 10
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? : Nasal cannula to vent
Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : RNs required to read and interpret
Floating Requirements : Mainly to PCU but can go to all areas in the hospital depending on abilities
Scrub Color / Dress Code : RN : Navy Blue
How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 2 shifts
