Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine manufacturing methods, solve production issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Process Design : Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
Design and specify manufacturing equipment and tooling.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements, including cost reduction, waste elimination, and quality enhancement.
Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshooting : Provide technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and quality problems.
- Documentation : Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and changes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration : Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes.
Facilitate communication and coordination between teams.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience : 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems). Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and equipment management.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address production challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clearly present technical information.
- Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in manufacturing processes and documentation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret and / or a TS / SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Education : Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience : 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with experience in aerospace or high-tech industries preferred.
- Advanced Skills : Expertise in advanced manufacturing techniques, process optimization, and technology integration.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications in manufacturing or quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing) are a plus.
- Industry Experience : Experience in aerospace or space technology sectors, particularly with complex and high-precision manufacturing environments.
- Innovation : Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and systems.
