Cyber Security Engineer

RBR-Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support one of our customers in Columbia, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Cybersecurity Engineer is a specialized field of system engineering that integrates cybersecurity requirements, engineering principles, and system design standards to ensure the architecture for DoD weapons systems, communications platforms, and information remains secure.
• You will use your systems engineering expertise review and assess of a wide range of complex weapon systems to identify technical risks within the system's cybersecurity posture.
• You will work with the system owner to develop and recommend appropriate mitigations to manage cybersecurity risks.
• Responsible for reviewing and assessing cybersecurity architectures across a variety of applications or domains for systems with large size, complexity, and risk.
• Partner with the DoD customers building these systems to guide them and to help them understand the cybersecurity trade space.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size. BS in Computer Science, System Engineering or related STEM discipline OR 3 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size with MS in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline OR 1 year as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size with a PhD or JD degree
• CompTIA Security +
• One or more of the following (required) or within 6 months of start on contract : CPTE, CEH, CISA, CISSP

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Cybersecurity best practices and Threat-based Cybersecurity frameworks
• Experience providing system security engineering guidance for DoD customers
• Familiar with system authorization process and necessary security artifacts
