- Lead and execute technical aspects of transportation engineering projects, including design and planning.
- Manage project teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions and successful project outcomes.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for various transportation projects.
- Conduct data analysis, field reviews, and research to support transportation project design and planning.
- Provide quality assurance on project deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Support client meetings and public engagement efforts by preparing materials and presenting technical solutions.
- Assist with grant applications and funding programs for transportation infrastructure.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development through knowledge sharing and guidance.
The Senior Lead Highway Engineer will have the following...
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Experience in preparing construction plans, reports, and studies for roadway or highway projects.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and Federal / State ADA guidelines.
- Strong project management and task coordination skills, with experience in QA / QC.
- Experience with AutoTurn and GuideSIGN preferred.
