CNC Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Second shift hours 3 - 11 : 30 Monday through Friday.

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Mill and Electro Discharge Machines (EDM).
• Plans machining by studying production schedule and setup sheets.
• Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock;

verifying receipt of stock.

• Runs Mill and EDMs by loading appropriate materials and running the correct programs.
• Maintains sharp tools and adequate stock for removal in fixtures, changes as needed.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Participates in continuous improvement by thinking of ways to perform work safer, faster, or with better quality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and hands on, who has strong attention to detail and is reliable.

The applicant must be comfortable using a computer, both to control the machines, and to communicate by email. The applicant should have good time management skills and be able to produce parts on a schedule.

Onsite Training :

The Operator will learn to setup CNC machines and run programs that manufacture parts. We will also train the use of inspection tools, such as calipers, microscopes, indicators, and laser profilers.

Timing :

The job is available right away. The Operator will begin on the job training during first shift but will eventually move to second shift.

Second shift hours 3 - 11 : 30 Monday through Friday.
