- Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls.
- Identify areas for performance improvement on equipment; perform and promote preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
- Detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components.
- Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
- Effectively communicate machine issues, status of install or status of machine repair to customer; ensure proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer.
- Exhibit ownership of customer-related problems and coordinate with appropriate departments when necessary for resolution of problems to ensure customer service satisfaction.
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in the field.
- Maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company.
- Stay abreast of vendor products and new technology and implement as appropriate.
- Conduct machine maintenance training as a component of after-sales technical support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred; High School Diploma / GED required.
- 5+ years as a CNC Field Service Technician or Engineer highly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience working with CNC controls; Fanuc extremely beneficial.
- Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail with technical aptitude are required.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other related business programs.
- Must be able to work unscheduled overtime without notice.
- Valid driver’s license and auto / vehicle insurance required.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 50% of the workweek; some overnight travel required.
- Must provide basic hand tools for electrical / mechanical repair.
