Social Media Writer   Position :

• Social Media Writer Department : Digital Reports to : Director, Digital Status : Regular, Full-Time  FLSA : Exempt   Summary / Objective : The Social Media Writer will collaborate with our Digital, Engagement and Outreach teams to craft compelling, social media-friendly content that connects diverse audiences to the First Amendment in strategic and engaging ways.  The Social Media Writer will research and produce social media-specific messaging that supports Freedom Forum’s mission to foster First Amendment freedoms for all.

The primary objective of this position will be to envision, research and create social media content for a general audience that helps Americans better understand their First Amendment freedoms and how they relate to their lives every day.  The Social Media Writer will produce multiple forms of content (including, but not limited to, social media posts, short video scripts, advertising copy, landing page copy, and, occasionally, short-form articles) for use across social media and digital platforms, and will support our internal communications team.  This individual should be an exceptional writer and social media-minded communications professional with multimedia experience who can create engaging content designed to educate all Americans about their First Amendment freedoms.   Essential functions / responsibilities include but are not limited to :
